These three smartphones represent Samsung’s new ‘Galaxy A’ series of smartphones, and they have been leaking for weeks now, we’ve seen various benchmark listings of these three phones, along with a number of design leaks. All of these smartphones are made out of metal, as expected, and they look quite similar, though the Galaxy A3 (2017) is considerably smaller than the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017). Before we start talking about each device separately, it’s worth noting that all of them come with an IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, just like the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. The Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) features a 4.7-inch 720p (1280 x 720) Super AMOLED display, which makes it a really compact offering by the company. This smartphone packs in 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, while it is fueled by a 64-bit octa-core SoC clocked at 1.6GHz, though Samsung did not reveal what SoC exactly are we looking at here. On the back of the Galaxy A3 (2017), you’ll be able to find a 13-megapixel snapper, while an 8-megapixel shooter is placed on the front side of this smartphone. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the Galaxy A3 (2017) (and the other two Galaxy A devices), and Samsung’s custom UI is placed on top of it.
