The Samsung Galaxy S8 looks like the phone to beat in 2017.
This flagship device is rumoured to be getting its grand unveiling at a major event on March 29th and it’ll be packed with new features and major upgrades.
Rumours suggest this new smartphone will feature an upgraded display that will cover almost the entire device and may have a home button embedded under the curved glass.
Samsung’s already excellent cameras will no doubt get even better and it’s thought an exclusive deal with chip maker, Qualcomm, will make the S8 the fastest Android phone ever.
Leaked images have exposed that the S8 will probably arrive in two sizes with the larger Plus model including a huge 6.2-inch display.
So there’s plenty to be excited about if you’re a lover of all things Samsung but, if it’s value for money you want, you might want to consider an iPhone.
Recent figures, from online retailer giffgaff, have revealed that Apple devices tend to hold their value better than any of its rivals.
Giffgaff has just launched a new pre-owned market place where consumers can trade, buy and sell their old devices and their prices show you get more money back on an iPhone once you’ve finished your two year contract.
The iPhone 6s was launched in September 2015 and has now been succeeded by the new iPhone iPhone 7, however, it’s still worth around £235.
The current Galaxy S7, which is still Samsung’s flagship and was launched over six months after the iPhone 6s is worth £255 - just £20 more.
Things get even worse for some other Android phones with devices including Sony’s Xperia Z5 Premium now worth just £162.
This device was launched around the same time as the iPhone 6s yet its value has plummeted.Read More...
