The recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) is apparently a real beast when it comes to battery performance, beating the Galaxy S7 and several other flagships.
The smartphone reportedly offers outstanding battery performance that's tough to beat. Compared to many other smartphones out there, the Galaxy A5 (2017) delivers mad battery life on a single charge even in intensive scenarios.
Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy A series back in early January, introducing the upgraded Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 iterations. The Galaxy A series doesn't comprise of high-end flagships, but they do combine affordability with good performance and a premium feel.
The Galaxy A5 (2017) midranger has a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) display and a 14-nannometer Exynos SoC that offers great power efficiency, maximizing the performance of the 3,000 mAh battery. The Galaxy A5 (2017) should last for up to 13 hours of 3G web browsing, 16 hours on 4G LTE, and 18 hours on Wi-Fi. With some idle moments in between, this should easily translate to a two-day battery life or even three for those who don't use the device that much.
Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) Battery Life Test And Comparison
Phone Arena ran its own battery tests to see how the Galaxy A5 (2017) fares and the results are quite impressive. The publication tested the Galaxy A5 (2017), the Galaxy A5 (2016), the Huawei Nova, the Honor 8, the Galaxy S7, the iPhone 7, the iPhone 6s and the Google Pixel, setting all smartphones at the same 200-nit brightness level.
The Galaxy A5 (2017) outperformed all other smartphones, lasting for an impressive 11 hours and 9 minutes on a charge. That's nearly double the battery life of the Galaxy S7, which lasted for 6 hours and 37 minutes, and significantly longer than the iPhone 7, which lasted for 7 hours and 46 minutes. The Google Pixel lasted for 7 hours and 45 minutes, along the same lines as the iPhone 7. The new Galaxy A5 iteration also lasted significantly longer than its predecessor, as the 2016 Galaxy A5 turned off the lights after 9 hours and 55 minutes. That's still a great battery life, but the new Galaxy A5 (2017) takes the cake. It would've ben interesting if the Droid Maxx 2 was included in the test, but it wasn't invited to the party.Read More...
